About the Festival

Come to the lovely historic town of Berkeley Springs West Virginia in the Appalachian Mountains and enjoy a weekend of independent films. While you're here, enjoy one of the many spas with hot springs and massage, Bed and Breakfasts, hiking trails and restaurants frequently enjoyed by tourists and locals alike.

All-Access Festival Passes ($49) are less than half the price of most weekend film festivals, seating is limited and we expect to sell out fast, so get your tickets now by clicking the Buy Festival Pass Now button above. We also have one day Festival Passes for Saturday ($40 includes seminars, awards and party), and Sunday ($20), as well as Student Passes.

The 2024 BSFF will be held entirely at the beautiful Cacapon Resort State Park which is 10 miles outside Berkeley Springs. We are very excited about what we have planned for you this year!

This is going to be our BSFF Resort Year! There are many great advantages to having all our events and lodging in the same location, and we have unusually valuable seminars planned for this year. We believe the Fourth Annual BSFF will be our best ever!

Films will be screened in a large banquet room with a big screen at one end Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. For exact times, see our official Program Guile that is published online a few weeks before the event. Popcorn and concessions will be set up outside the screening room. Our seminar room is across the hall from the screening room and the restaurant with fantastic food is just downstairs. If you need to take a break from watching films and stretch your legs, enjoy the miles of hiking trails at the resort, play a round of golf, or take advantage of the many amenities available at the Cacapon Resort. It is a truly beautiful piece of West Virginia.

This year we are honored to have Stanley Livingston flying in from Los Angeles to provide a three-hour seminar on the business side of acting. This has become his passion after seeing many good actors unknowingly ruin their career early on. Stanley will also answer questions during the Q&A about his 60-years’ experience as a writer, director and producer. He started his career acting the role of Chip on the very popular long-running 60s TV series: My Three Sons.

We are also honored to have Stunt Coordinator Johnny Becker whose credits include Live Free or Die Hard, Wonder Woman 1984, House of Cards, and dozens of other popular films. He and his crew will be putting on a live stunt demonstration (bar fight?) and explain how to stay safe on set. Following the awards presentation Saturday evening, you won’t want to miss the After Party. Just walk down a flight of stairs to our private beautiful cozy dining room with fireplace and mingle with filmmakers, cast and crew. Order dinner or just have a drink while meeting your future collaborators. Last year we had a huge turnout of cast and crew in addition to the filmmakers. This is a great opportunity to network and many have reported finding cast, crew and funding for future projects at the BSFF!
